Sports Injuries: Groin Pull

One of the most common injury is a groin pull. A groin pull occurs when a muscle within the thigh tears. This is can happen due to sudden stops, jumps, or quick changes of direction. This injury especially happens in sports such as football, basketball, soccer, and hockey.

According to WebMD, there are three degrees of pulls. The 1st degree is mild pain, but with only a little bit of movement loss. The 2nd degree is moderate pain, which could even include damage in the tissue. The third and highest degree means that severe loss of strength has occurred because the muscle has completely torn.

Recovery
This type of injury is an injury that will heal through ice, elevation, and most importantly, time.
