"When you're good at something, you'll tell everyone. When you're great at something, they'll tell
you." That was definitely the case when it pertains to Walter Payton. Nicknamed "Sweetness" , Walter Payton was one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game.
Growing up in Mississippi, Payton's first sport was baseball. Walter didn't play football in high school until his junior year. Although he was only 5'10, his speed and ability to use the stiff arm made him eventually become one of the best players in the state.
Throughout his career, Payton was known to break many tackles. He had an elusiveness that left opposing coaches scratching their heads. Walter Payton went on to have a phenomenal career. Payton ended his career having a total of 21, 264 All-Purpose yards, including a total of 16,276 rushing yards and 110 touchdowns. In 1999, Payton was diagnosed with a liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis. Within that same year, Walter passed.
On and off the field, Walter Payton left his mark as someone who was an example who "never died easy". We can all learn from that example: Never give up on something that you feel is worth pursuing.

Fantasy Draft Time Sleeper of the Day: Ryan Matthews
While many people have Ryan Matthews ranked as one of the top fantasy running backs in the NFL, unless you live on the west coast, he may not be a familiar name. Ryan Matthews is the starting running back for the San Diego Chargers. In the 2013 season, Matthews had a career best 1,265 rushing yards along with 6 touchdowns. These numbers are very impressive considering the fact that Matthews is playing under a pass heavy offense led by quarterback Phillip Rivers. The Chargers were ranked 6th in the league in passing yards. In addition, Matthews does not get all of the carriers. With other running back such as Danny Woodhead and Donald Brown, Matthews does not get the amount of carries that usual #1 running backs get.
In spite of all these hurdles, the 26 year old can easily be a STEAL for any fantasy player in their draft. Expect Matthews to get a heavier load this season due to the success that he had last season carrying the ball. In addition, consistency is one thing that Phillip Rivers struggles with from year to year. He can have one fantastic season, then turn around and perform sub-par the very next year. I do not suggest that he is your first selection at the running back position, but he can be a very good 2nd or 3rd option.

Six Players to Watch in Superbowl XLVIII: 2. Knowhson Moreno
#27, Knowshon Moreno, Denver Broncos.
Running Back.
5'11 , 220lbs.
Madden Rating: 76
The #2 player on the list is the Denver Broncos running back number 27, Knowshon Moreno. While Moreno may not be a popular name, he is definitely important to the Denver Broncos. As a runner, Moreno has rushed for over 1,000 yards, averaging 4.3 per carry. Moreno has also been able to find the end zone this year, scoring 10 touchdowns.
Moreno is very important in many ways. For one, he gives the Broncos a rushing game. The Broncos are a very pass heavy team, in which they are the best at what they do. If Moreno and the Broncos offensive line can provide positive yards by rushing, this will put alot of pressure on the Seattle Seahawks defense. The Seahawks already have to worry about the passing game of Peyton Manning and the receiving gang. Moreno can make it even harder.
Another thing that makes Moreno effective is his pass blocking! Running backs are sometimes considered the an offensive line's last line of defense, blocking anyone that gets close to the quarterback. Moreno has already recieved public praise from his head coach about his pass blocking. Look for Moreno to really be keen on this. Since the Broncos pass alot, the Seahawks will give Manning many different looks and blitzes. Moreno will sure to be in place to protect Manning.
If Moreno can provide good rushing production and solid pass blocking, he will be very effective in the Superbowl.
