NBA Free Agency Update 07/01/15

As most NBA fans are aware of, today marks the beginning of all NBA teams signing players all over the globe that can  take their  respected teams to the next level. Beginning at midnight, teams were allowed to sign free agents. As of last night, a few players were signed, some to their same teams, and others to different teams.

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard verbally agreed to a five-year max value contract(which is roughly around $90 million dollars). Leonard is the future of Spurs basketball, and rising star was a must for the San Antonio Spurs. In addition to longevity , it only helps make their case in bidding for TrailBlazers PF LaMarcus Aldridge.
Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis

The biggest young superstar can rejoice heavily. Davis recieved a five year deal, estimated around $145 million. Yes, you read the number right.  As of now, Davis has signed the largest contract in NBA history. At the age of 22, the Pelicans are 100% committed  Davis in every way possible. Now
to build talent around him.

Aminu Al-Farouq

The young up and coming defensive stopper Aminu signed a four year, $30 million dollar deal with the TrailBlazers early this morning. The TrailBlazers look to replace Nicolas Batum after trading him to the Hornets in June. Aminu is very good on defense, while constantly improving his offense. We shall see if this was a good move for the Blazers in around two years.

DeMarre Carroll

Many believed that Carroll would stay with the Hawks, but that projection changed today. DeMarre Carroll announced that he would sign with the Raptors via Twitter. Carroll has agreed to a four year, $60 million dollar deal. Carroll will instantly upgrade the Raptors' perimeter defense. This team should be fun to watch.

Goran Dragic

This morning , the Heat retained their point guard for the future. Dragic and the Miami Heat agree to a five year, $90 million dollar contract. Now , the Heat must decide whether or not they want to sign back Dwyane Wade.

Each Day during free agency we will be writing about all signings that will take place.
