NCAA Football 14 Cover Man
With the game due in July, EA Sports has recently released the player who will be the center piece of NCAA Football 14: Denard Robinson. The cover was at a toss up between him and Ryan Swope, former receiver for Texas A&M.
In case you don't know who Denard is, let me give you some info about him. Denard was one of the most versatile quarterbacks to ever play in college football. He currently holds the record for having the most rushing yards as a quarterback to ever play the college football game. In one season alone, he was able to throw for over 2500 yards, and rush for over 1500 yards. Let's not forget the fact, that as a quarterback you do get sacked quite a bit. A quarterback can easily lose 100 rushing yards within a span of a few games, so this was no easy task. Coming from a traditional school, he was not a typical quarterback. Under the system of former head coach Rich Rodriguez, "the option" was implemented to allow Denard to maximize his potential. The option is a formation in which after the ball is hiked the quarterback has the choice to: hand the ball off to a half back, keep the ball and run, or throw the ball to an open target. Denard would give opposing coaches and teams massive headaches because of his lightening speed and great agility. He is the third Michigan Wolverine to be on an NCAA Football Cover, joining Charles Woodson and Desmond Howard.
