It’s Playoff Time: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Once again, we are in the NBA playoffs and are about to see the best of the best compete to be the league champion. The playoffs mean excitement. This is where teams excel as a whole and individual players take charge as a leader. We are now moving on towards the second game in the series. I love the playoffs because of the upsets. Each team had a regular season record that got them to the playoffs. Now, these records are irrelevant. Although many fans have been disappointed by the performances of many of the Eastern Conference teams, I hope that the playoffs is when the Conference will really start to crank up the intensity.
Although Atlanta is the number 1 seed in the East, I think that the Cavaliers have much greater potential to make it all the way. They have tremendous star power (LeBron James) and have won 34 of their final 43 games. The Cavaliers have the capability to face the dominant Western Conference champion. All season long, the Western Conference was deemed "better" in terms of their players, the overall teams, and in terms of being more entertaining to watch. I would love to see the Cavaliers face Derrick Rose and the Bulls in the semi-finals. Derrick Rose has the potential to take his team to the top if he can stay healthy and perform well. The Bulls and Cavaliers both are filled with All Star players making this game one to look out for!

For this first round, I believe that the Hawks will easily beat the Nets, the Cavaliers will beat the Celtics, Bulls over Bucks, Raptors over Wizards. In the next round I think that it will be: Cavaliers over Bulls, and Hawks over Raptors. In the conference final, I hope that the Cavaliers beat the Hawks.
