The playoffs are rapidly approaching. With March Madness
finishing last night, all focus can now be on the upcoming NBA playoffs. While
the top few spots are already secured, there are still a few teams battling it
out.
Standings:
1. The number 1 seed is obviously the Atlanta
Hawks. This means that they are fortunate to have home court advantage during
the Eastern Conference playoffs.
2. Next up is the Cavaliers led by LeBron.
3. The number 3 seed is the Chicago Bulls who are
one game ahead of the Raptors.
4. Raptors have secured spot number 4.
5. Following the Raptors are the Washington
Wizards. Toronto is also one game ahead of the Wizards.
6. All of these margins are pretty close. Next is
the Milwaukee Bucks who are two games ahead of Brooklyn and are likely to
finish here if they can do well in their upcoming games. Their season is
definitely not over yet as they still have a tough schedule.
7. Brooklyn is at number 7—for now. On Monday night
they beat Portland and are now two games clear of falling out of the playoffs.
8. The eighth seed is tricky for me. As of now
Boston has it. However, Indiana, Miami, and Charlotte are only a few games
away.
With the return of Paul George, Indiana has a shot of
reaching the playoffs. This was his first game of the season, and fans were
definitely excited to see him back. George played a total of 15 minutes and
scored 13 points. His return to the NBA is amazing and he has recovered
immensely since his August 1 incident.
Though the Pacers still may not have enough time left to get them into
the playoffs, the team will definitely regain its strength during the summer and
be prepared for the next season.
